Marathon Post-Race Information

Results

Half Marathon and Marathon results will be posted at the Finish Line Party as soon as they become available on race day. Results will also be posted on www.KiawahMarathon.com and RunSingup.com. Race Results can be found here.

Post-Race Recovery Stations

6am – 2pm in Carolina 3

In need of an in-depth recovery session? Compression sleeves are available to alleviate any post-race soreness. This station can be found in Carolina 3 upon purchase.

9:30am – 2:30pm at the Finish Line Celebration

(Tentative) Post-race stretching is available to all of our runners. Stretch therapists will be on hand to help you recover and stretch out the muscles after your run! Look for their tents at the end of the finish line chute. Mats will be available. Indoors, Lululemon will be located in Carolina 3 to also assist any runner that needs a quick stretch!

Finish Line Party and Award Ceremonies

9:30am – 3pm

We will be hosting a combined party for Marathon and Half Marathon runners. The finish line party will take place in a large tent at the race venue. Of course, we have kept your favorite carbo re-load buffet, music and beer!

Food: The buffet is complimentary and reserved for bibbed runners. The menu includes:

White Bean Soup*
Taboulie*
Organic Pasta Vinaigrette
Fresh Local Vegetables and Basil Pesto
Organic Pasta Salad with Grilled Chicken
Sweet Corn Bread Muffins
Sliced Oranges and Bananas*
Panera Bread Cookies
Hot Chocolate, Tea, Lemonade.

* Indicates dish is gluten-free. Gluten-free Pasta Salad is also available upon request. Kindly see our Food & Beverage staff at the Party; they will be happy to assist you.

Beer: We proudly serve Charleston’s own Estuary Cabrinha Drifter Lager, Austin East Cider, and Michelob Ultra, at the finish line party! Family and friends can join in celebrating; wristbands for beer are $15. Valid ID required for wristband, and they are only available while supplies last.

Music: Friends and family are welcome to join runners under the tent for live music and celebration.

Awards Ceremony: The Award Ceremony will take place on the stage under the large white tent. Awards for the half-marathon runners will take place at approximately 11:30am. Marathon awards ceremony will take place at approximately 1pm.

Mailing Awards: If you have won an award, but are not present to receive it, we will gladly ship it to you. Use this link to request award shipping. There will be a $20 fee, which includes all shipping and handling.

Lost & Found

Race Venue: For articles lost in and around the West Beach Conference Center/Race Venue, please check the with the Information Desk in the lobby of the West Beach Conference Center. Open Saturday, Race Day, 6:30am to 3pm and Sunday, Race Weekend, 8:30am to 11am.

Race Course: Clothing lost or left on the course can be claimed Sunday morning beginning at 8:30 am inside the West Beach Conference Center. Bib numbers may help us reunite runners with their lost items, so we encourage all runners to label their items with their bib numbers. Sharpies are available at the information desk in WBCC and in the article storage tents.

Clothing, hats, gloves, etc. shed on the course will be held until Tuesday at 9am; after which they will be donated to our local shelter. Please note, our course clean up begins during the race, so please do not expect to be able to go back onto the course later in the day to retrieve shed items. Call 843.768.6001 for information.

Showers

Please check with the Marathon Information Desk for shower facilities.

Expo

The West Beach Conference Center Expo and restrooms will be open to all runners and spectators throughout the day.

Race Weekend Hours:

Thursday: 3 – 6:30pm
Friday: 10am – 8pm
Saturday: 6am – 2pm
Sunday: 8:30 – 11am (Official Race Logo Shop, Award Pick-Up and Lost and Found Only)

Marathon Medals

All Full & Half Marathon Runners finishing the 26.2 & 13.1-mile course, will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line.

Boston Qualifications

The Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon and Half Marathon courses are both Certified and Sanctioned by the USATF and the Marathon is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Official marathon results will be submitted once they become “official” to the Boston Athletic Association in accordance with their policies. Runners applying for the Boston Marathon need only list their time and participation in this event for potential qualification. For specific qualifying information please direct your questions to the Boston Athletic Association.
