Kelly BowlingKelly Bowling

Kelly began her venture into yoga during the spring of 1996 at Ball State University, where she took a semester long Hatha Yoga class. From then on she was hooked, and continued her yoga practice regularly until deciding to become a certified instructor herself. She has enjoyed working the past two years at the Fitness Center at The Sanctuary teaching Yoga, Pilates and Aqua Fitness. Additionally, she has spent many hours doing private sessions, working with a variety of clientele including men, women and children, encompassing both young and elder students. Her devotion to promoting a quality fitness experience is evident in the energy and charisma with which she presents each class.

Stacy Abbattista

I discovered yoga in 2001 while living in Arizona. Yoga inspired me to escape my tension filled life and evolve my personal practice to lift off my mat. I completed my 200 level yoga training in July of 2006. I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. While living in Arizona, I graduated from Arizona State University in 1998. I moved to Charleston in 2002, after spending many summers and family holidays here growing up. I still return to Arizona to take the music inspired power yoga classes that brought me to yoga. I am very energetic and have a love for the sunshine and outdoors, especially being at the beach. I encourage my students to use yoga as a vehicle to reduce stress, tension, and increase happiness and self acceptance.

Ruth MeyerRuth Ann Meyer

Ruth Ann was trained in the Kripalu style at The Kripalu Institute in Lexon, Massachusetts, and has over 20 years experience teaching a variety of styles. Her approach is to bring the body, mind and spirit into such harmony that one's natural rhythms can be felt and followed. The focus is on Pratapana, which includes warm-ups, stretching, breathing and postures that teach you to trust in your body's wisdom, and bring a sense of peace and renewed vitality. Ruth Ann currently teaches at the Medical University of South Carolina's Wellness Center, as well as The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.
