    Carol Preisinger made her first golf swing in 1967, when she was 6 years old. She played high school golf on the boy's team, and was a member of the Lady Bulldogs Golf Team at the University of Georgia, graduating in 1984 with a B.A. in Psychology. Her talent in playing the game was nurtured by her father, George, (life member of the PGA), but Carol chose to join the LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Membership in 1988, following her fathers' career as a golf professional, instead of a professional golfer.

    In July 2004, Carol was named Director of Instruction at The Kiawah Island Club, Kiawah Island, South Carolina, after a 13 year tenure at City Club Marietta, Marietta, Georgia. She is very active in LPGA National Educational Programs, seminars and workshops; donates time and lessons to local charity events; served as a National Evaluator for LPGA Practical Test Sites for 8 years; is on the instruction panel for Golf For Women Magazine; and has appeared on the Golf Channel's 'Golf Academy Live' and 'Your Game Night' with Kelly Tilghman.

    Carol has developed a sound reputation as a teacher of golf, with honors of:
    LPGA National Teacher of the year in 1998;
    Golf for Women Magazine Top 50 Teachers in 2000 - 2007;
    Golf Digest's "Best in State" Georgia list in 2000 and 2003;
    Best in State list South Carolina 2007 and ranked #1 in 2009;
    Nominated for Golf Digest's Top 50 in 2007 and 2009; and has been a GOLF Magazine Top 100 Teachers in America since 2005.
