Abby Welch, Kiawah Island Golf Resort
Teaching Professional
Former captain of the University of South Carolina’s women’s golf team and PGA Class A Professional, Abby is primarily responsible for teaching and promoting lessons for women and junior golfers, assisting in general teaching clinics, and fitting players for new equipment. She completed a double major in Marketing and Management and holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and obtained her PGA Class A membership in April 2004. Abby is a LPGA Golf Professional and a PGA Certified Instructor, a certification that she earned through continuing education via the PGA of America's Specialty Certification Program.
Carol Preisinger, LPGA Teaching & Club Professional
As a Class A LPGA Teaching and Club Professional member since 1992, Carol has earned top honors as the 1998 LPGA National Teacher of the Year, and is recognized by GOLF Magazine as a Top 100 Teacher in America (2004 to 2008), by Golf For Women Magazine as a Top 50 teacher (2000, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07), and Golf Digest Best in State list (2000, 2003, Georgia, and 2007, South Carolina). She is a member of the Bill Bowerman Advisory Staff with Nike Golf.
Stina Sternberg, Senior Editor Golf Digest
Editor, Golf Digest Woman
Stina Sternberg is a senior editor for Golf Digest and editor of Golf Digest Woman, Golf Digest's bi-annual women's insert. She was previously the senior editor of Golf for Women, a position she held from 2000 until the magazine's close in 2008. Ms. Sternberg is also one of four judges for Golf Digest's annual equipment Hot List. Each month in the magazine, Ms. Sternberg's "Ask Stina" column answers readers' questions and offers advice on how to handle potentially awkward situations on the course.
Prior to entering the publishing industry, Ms. Sternberg, a certified golf clubfitter, was owner and head pro of the Great Golf Pro Shop and Indoor Teaching Center in Westport, CT. Simultaneously, she was co-owner and pro shop director of Sisjo Golf Club in Gothenburg, Sweden.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 14-day cancellation policy. Room deposit
(one-night stay) is taken at time of call and is nonrefundable if the
reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the event. Day Pass
Reservations follow the same 14-day cancellation policy. If a day
reservation is made within 14 days of the event, the full amount will
not be refunded.
