An Artful Weekend at The Sanctuary
at Kiawah Island Golf Resort

This year, we have decided to combine our annual seaside serenade with the Southeastern Art Show to bring you a weekend of music, dance and art. Throughout the weekend you will be exposed to works drawn from galleries in the Carolinas and Georgia. You will also have the opportunity to examine The Sanctuary's own remarkable collection of art and antiques. Different forms of art are also presented this weekend.

Learn new dance moves or brush up on your current ones with professors and experts from The College of Charleston and the South Carolina Dance Association. Dancers from the association will also perform a masterpiece performance involving different genres of the world of dance. And what would a weekend of the arts be without music? Listen to the beautiful sounds during a musical performance brought to you by Charleston House Concerts.

• Dance Lecture/Demonstration - If you are not interested in putting on your dancing shoes, join the dance professors from the College of Charleston and members of the South Carolina Dance Association, who will school you in the history of the dance. From the ballet barre to partnering and lifts, you will get to view the process of perfection.
• Saturday Afternoon Dance Workshop - "Swingin' at The Sanctuary" -Bring a partner and join trained instructors from the College of Charleston and the South Carolina Dance Association who will demonstrate and guide even the beginning dancer until everyone is swinging to the beat.
• View art pieces in the retail wing of The Sanctuary or watch artists still life painting in the lobby.
• Universal Dance Theatrical Performance by South Carolina Dance Association
• Finale cocktail reception to meet dancers, professors and instructors

• 

  Musical concert performed by Charleston House Concerts
• Dinner on own or free time to enjoy the rest of your evening

CANCELLATION POLICY: 14-day cancellation policy. Room deposit (one-night stay) is taken at time of call and is nonrefundable if the reservation is cancelled within 14 days of the event. Day Pass Reservations follow the same 14-day cancellation policy. If a day reservation is made within 14 days of the event, the full amount will not be refunded.
