Use of the fitness center, fitness classes and indoor pool are for Sanctuary Hotel guests only, ages 16 and up. No children are allowed to roam or workout in the facility. The month and days of the week will go here in a box with schedule in the appropriate day of the week.

Fitness Class Descriptions

Stop by any time for an introduction to the fitness center. Any one of our fitness attendants will be glad to show you the proper way to use all of the cardio and strength equipment. This will give you the confidence to come in and work out on your own.

For your safety, we do not permit guests to enter classes after the class has been underway for 10 minutes.

PILATES: A mat class designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. Focus is placed on improving posture and core strength. (60)

YOGILATES: Fusing Pilates core-body mat work with the fluid postures of Hatha Yoga. Focusing on breath and alignment, while increasing strength, balance and flexibility. Concludes with a relaxing meditation segment. (60)

GENTLE YOGA: Poses, twists, vinyasa flow and breathing are all designed to increase flexibility, strength and balance the body and mind. (60)

CLASSIC HATHA YOGA: A beginner to intermediate Hatha style yoga with emphasis on safe posture and alignment and incorporates proper breathing techniques. (60)

VINYASA YOGA: An intermediate to advanced Vinyasa Yoga style, postures will flow in carefully balanced sequences. Let your breth lead the way! (60)

SPORT  YOGA: A unique blend of ancient and modern exercises designed to promote wellness, strength and flexibility. The techniques are taken from Hatha Yoga, Pilates, Martial Arts, as well as traditional sport stretches and warm-ups. (60)

YOGA BY THE SEA- WAKE-UP WALK: A yoga-inspired walk on the beautiful Kiawah beach. Energize yourself for the day ahead! (60)

SIMPLY STRETCHING: Introduction to basic stretches to increase flexibility, decrease muscle soreness, and improve your overall strengthening and cardio routine. (45)

CORE CONDITIONING: A total body stabilization program that emphasizes muscles of the abdomen, back, neck, hips and buttocks. Stability balls are widely used, along with free weights and medicine balls. (45-60)

TOTAL BODY SCULPT: A strength training class for the entire body. Incorporates free weights, stability balls and medicine balls to reach every muscle! (45-60)

ULTMATE CALORIE BURN: This class integrates cardio segments with strength training and athletic stretching. A true sweat session! (45-60)

GOLF PERFORMANCE TRAINING: This workshop will focus on rotational movements and core strengthening to help you prepare for a day on the links. The class includes warm up stretches and important stabilization exercises aimed at lowering your scores. (45-60)

WATER AEROBICS: Join us for a fun, full-body workout...without putting pressure on your joints! Includes cardio, toning, strengthening with water weights, and helps improve flexibility. Work at your own ability. All levels welcome. (45-60)

ABS BLAST: This express class offers more than just crunches...Prepare to take ab training to a whole new level with highly effective abdominal exercises designed to tone and tighten your entire torso. (30)
