Now entering its 36th year, the Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon starts and finishes in beautiful East Beach Village. Along the way, you'll enjoy spectacular views of maritime forests, marshes, and grand homes, as you run throughout the Island community. The only thing more wonderful than the scenery is the moment when you cross the finish line, after completing your full or half marathon!

Kiawah Island's Villas and Homes

Package rates in Kiawah Island Golf Resort's Villas & Homes starting from $529. (Based on one half and one full marathon runner sharing a one bedroom scenic view villa, other options available). The package can be custom built for any number of runners and non-runners in your party. Race Entry

A limited number of entries are available for the 2013 Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon and Half marathon. When race registration is at maximum capacity the race registration will automatically close; however, race management will make every attempt to give at least 72 hours before our anticipated closing to our followers on our Facebook page (Kiawah Island Marathon)

Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Anyone found participating with another person's number will be disqualified and both people will be barred from future Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathons.

Entry fees includes: long sleeve race shirt; finishers medal; course support; food, beer and entertainment at the finish line party; complimentary shuttle for off island runners (from off island parking area); complimentary race course shuttle for spectators.

Age Groups

Age minimums: Half - 14 years old  |  Full - 18 years old

*Age groups are for both men and women

Athletes with Disabilities

The Kiawah Island Marathon has a tradition of extending the challenge of the full and half marathon to people with disabilities.

Push Rim Wheelchair Division

Open class for men and women who use wheelchairs in sport. Please register through the on-line method of registration and please email a member of the Marathon office at mail to kiawah_marathon@kiawahresort.com and further information will be provided.

Mobility Impaired Runners

Individuals with permanent disabilities that affect ambulation and who would like to register in order to be put in this class for race result purposes, please register as usual and then contact kiawah_marathon@kiawahresort.com. A member of the Race Administration office will contact you and give further information.

Affiliations

The Kiawah Island Marathon is sanctioned by the USATF and listed as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. Official marathon results will be mailed shortly following the event to the Boston Athletic Association. USATF#SC02031BS.
