Kiawah Island Golf Resort National Pro Am
PGA club professionals from all across the U.S., along with three of their members, will tee it up during Kiawah Island Golf Resort National Pro Am from March 2-6, 2008. The 72-hole stroke play event, The tournament format includes four-man best ball gross and net, as well as professional stroke play. A true Lowcountry oyster roast and dinner will welcome you to the island at the Opening Banquet/Pairings Party at Mingo Point on Sunday evening (March 2nd). Amenity packages will be distributed to all players. The actual tournament runs Monday through Thursday with teams playing one round on each of the four courses followed each night by a Scoring/Cocktail Party at The Legends Room at Turtle Point Clubhouse. Daily scores will be posted as well as the next days starting times. Cold beer, soft drinks and appetizers are provided complimentary for all participants. Events come to a close with Thursday afternoon's awards luncheon in the Turtle Point Clubhouse. Enjoy lunch and your favorite beverages as scores are collected and posted. Prizes will be awarded to the top gross teams and top net teams. PGA Professionals will be paid out on team prizes, and a professional purse will be distributed among the top stroke-play finishers. The Championship is complimentary for PGA Professionals. Cost per amateur is $1,445 and includes four rounds of golf, resort accommodations, daily housekeeping, daily breakfast (tournament days only), opening banquet/cocktail party, nightly cocktail/scoring happy hour and closing awards luncheon. Practice rounds on any of the five Resort courses are available at an additional fee. Upgraded accommodations, including Private Homes and the luxury hotel The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, may also added to your package.
