The American Alligator is the largest reptile in North America. Travel with us as we search for Kiawah's biggest gators and learn about these impressive predators. We offer two different alligator tours:
Sundays, 4pm - 6pm
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5pm - 7pm (June & July); 4:30pm - 6:30pm (August)
Wednesdays, 9am - 11am
Travel with us by van as we travel down island to search our naturalists’ favorite gator hangouts. Once at our destination, we will take a short walk to observe and learn about these amazing, and often misunderstood, animals in their natural habitat.
Children must be 6 years old. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. $20 per person. This two hour van tour is available year round and is scheduled several times per week. Please call the Nature Center for availability.

First meet one of our captive ‘gators and learn about what makes these ancient creatures so unique in the animal kingdom. Then we’ll walk to some gator habitats and learn how they survive and thrive on Kiawah.
Great for all ages. Stroller accessible. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. $12 per person. This one hour walking tour is available Labor Day weekend to Memorial Day weekend. The Gator Walk is scheduled several times per week. Please call the Nature Center for availability.
