HERON PARK NATURE CENTER

The Nature Center is located in Night Heron Park adjacent to the pool and the Night Heron Pavilion. It is the heart of the Resort’s Nature Program and is a great first stop to get information on recreation activities and recent nature sightings. The Nature Program conducts tours and excursions 354 days a year. For Holiday weeks including Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, a schedule of events is posted in this activity guide and on Kiawah Island Resort’s web site.  For all other weeks, visit the Heron Park Nature Center upon your arrival to the island.
 
Inside the Heron Park Nature Center, you will find exhibits of the local wildlife and abundant information about the ecosystems that comprise Kiawah Island. Resort Naturalists and staff are on hand to answer any questions and help direct you to Kiawah’s nature hot spots.
