Celebrate America on Kiawah Island!

Independence Day in upon us! The heat of summer is here, the smell of grilled burgers and hot dogs float through the air, colorful seasonal fruits and vegetables stock the kitchen, frozen cocktails are in high demand and our resort chefs can’t wait to celebrate America’s birthday with the bounty of the season.

We will be celebrating the 4th all week long with numerous special activities and culinary events! For a full detailed list of our special events please see pages 3-5 of the Summer Activity Guide.
The following events are in addition to our regularly scheduled weekly dining events…
Kicking off our holiday week is our ever-popular Mingo Point Oyster Roast & BBQ on Monday, June 30th from 6pm-9pm. Come out and enjoy an authentic Lowcountry experience at Kiawah’s most popular family outing. A riverside oyster roast, an all-you-can-eat buffet, live entertainment from The Island Trio, a kids “cool-zone” featuring hair braiding, a design-your-own beach bag, and a kid friendly buffet along with Kiawah’s Naturalists presenting live reptiles and gators and an artisan craft market…what more could you ask for!
In addition to fresh roasted oysters, enjoy a number of Southern BBQ specialties; ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, steaks, loaded potato skins, along with a bounty of side dishes, salads, and desserts.
