Five Star Service through the Heart of House

Heart of House, a hospitality term that refers to an employee behind the scenes who in some way supports the staff members that come in direct contact with guests.  For a restaurant, the heart of house employees would be the kitchen staff, and for a hotel the term could be referring to the laundry department. Today, we are spotlighting one specific individual of the heart of house team here at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Clifford McNeil.

Clifford works in the employee dining room at The Sanctuary where he spends his day making sure that the rest of the staff here at Kiawah is well fed and ready to serve our guests.  He always has a smile on his face and is implementing new, fun, and delicious ways to keep our staff healthy and nourished.  This includes adding hot sandwiches and paninis to the list of available menu options, as well as keeping the salad bar colorful and stocked full of yummy fruits and vegetables – perfect to keep our awesome Kiawah staff going in the hot summer sun!
