Southern Kitchen’s Revamp

With the promotion of Julie Lee (former manager of Night Heron Grill) to the new General Manager of West Beach Food & Beverage Operations, there have been a lot of positive changes to this end of the island…beginning with the revamping of Southern Kitchen’s menu and hours!

Chef Malcolm Ferguson, who has been with Kiawah Island Golf Resort since 2008, started as the Chef of Southern Kitchen four years ago. He partnered with Julie and create new offerings such as the SK Poached Eggs and Shrimp (pictured below) along with the SK Breakfast Club Croissant, the House Roasted Sirloin French Dip Sandwich, the Croque Monsieur Sandwich as well as the Chicken Fried Chicken Salad Wrap. Serving breakfast all-day until 4pm, with lunch options available after 11am – Southern Kitchen has been a popular spot for early risers playing golf and also for those who like to sleep in a little bit.

The Chipotle Pepper Jack and Blue Onion Burgers being guests favorites! Stop by the Straw Market and see what SK is cooking up! I promise this comfort food will not disappoint!

Be sure to check back for the Julie’s latest West Beach updates featuring…Inn Side Scoop, West Beach Café & Gifts and the all new West Beach Cantina located at the West Beach Pool!
