The Ocean Room at The Sanctuary has received its continued accomplishment as ‘Best of Award of Excellence’ in the 2013 Restaurant Awards by Wine Spectator. Collectively, about 3,800 restaurants have received one of the three awards by Wine Spectator in their wine program, these awards are: Award of Excellence, Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award.
In the August 2013 edit of Wine Spectator, The Ocean Room is named one of 850 winners for the ‘Best of Award of Excellence (the second-tier award), created to give special recognition to restaurants that clearly exceed the requirements of the Award of Excellence; many are close to the Grand Award level. These lists display either vintage depth, with vertical offerings of several top producers from major regions, or excellent breadth spread over several winegrowing regions.’
