Start Your Vacation Right with vegan breakfast!

You know the saying; Breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Well Jasmine Porch is making this a reality.  A vegan breakfast gives a good jump to your day. Maybe you’re about to play 36 holes on some of our beautiful golf courses or swinging over to Roy Barth Tennis Center  for your tennis lesson.  Jasmine Porch is fueling up on the importance of breakfast and the beneficial nutrients that aid in vitamin and mineral intake, weight control and getting the metabolism in gear.

Two of the newest items on Jasmine Porch breakfast menu follow the general breakfast guidelines by providing protein with whole grains, fruits and vegetables.   Both our Scrambled Tofu and Jasmine Porch Vegan Breakfast are accompanied with fruit salad and a Strawberry, Banana & Acai Berry Smoothie.

Tofu with Spinach, Mushrooms and Onions

Tofu, also known as bean curd, is high in iron with a low calorie count, large amounts of protein and little fat.  This little super food picks up flavors from what it is marinated in or cooked with.

Vegan Breakfast

Warm Quinoa, Nuts and Preserved Berries

Quinoa, recently listed in the top 10 Foods to Fuel a 5K by www.active.com, is a grain-like crop with edible seeds. Similar to beets, spinach and/or tumbleweeds, quinoa (another superfood) is high in protein and is a good source of dietary fiber, magnesium and iron. This grain is very useful in the vegan, gluten-free diet as it is easy to digest.

Seen on both dishes, the Strawberry, Banana & Acai Berry Smoothie is a great source of omegas, protein, fiber and your natural energy pick me up! So skip the coffee this morning and swing into Jasmine Porch for this delicious kick of energy that your day on Kiawah will need!
