Kiawah Island Easter Activities

Easter is a time of reunion, rejoicing, revitalization and recreation. It is a time when family and friends come together to welcome the changing of season, the rebirth of the land and the fertility that naturally ensues. Just as the budding spring season delivers prosperous life to the land, Kiawah Island Golf Resort is rich and plentiful this time of year with exciting events and engaging Easter activities. More than a daily affair, with over two weeks of programming, Kiawah is DEFINITLY the place to be for the Easter holiday.

Don’t forget to wake up early on Sunday for the Kiawah Sunrise Easter Service at 6:45am on the beach in front of the Sanctuary Hotel. Traditional guest favorites that take place on Easter Day include the Easter egg hunt and toss in Night Heron Park, the sand sculpting contest, and Easter Sunday Sundaes with Rick Hubbard.  Now, if competition is in your nature, come on out on Saturday, March 30th for the 2nd Annual Kiawah Island Open, a disc golf competition for all ages in Night Heron Park. Another fun and competitive event being introduced this year is Nine Holes Anywhere, a unique outdoor game that combines the challenge of golf with the portability and limited time commitment of croquet, taking place Tuesday, April 2nd on the Sanctuary Lawn.

Wondering what to do with tweens/teens that are too old to dye eggs or go on an Easter egg hunt? Kiawah Island Golf Resort has it covered with youth and teen activities from March 25th- April 5th, such as Nighttime Sports Madness, Wii on an inflatable big screen, Laser Tag, 3 v 3 basketball, Club Kiawah and brand new this year, a teen only GPS Island Race where participants will use a hand held GPS to locate clues around the island.

Family events are numerous in nature as well, like the Eggstravagent Easter Festival on Saturday, March 30th, Bingo and Floats with the Big Game Show on Tuesday, April 2nd, movies on an inflatable movie screen and family trivia.

Be sure to check the Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Spring Activity Guide for full listing of events, dates, times and locations. Also visit www.kiawahresort.com for an online version of the activity guide as well as a full web resource to everything happening on the island!
