The eldest son of actor Clint Eastwood, his annual family outing to the Monterey Jazz Festival and father's affinity for the genre helped Kyle realize that jazz was his true passion. Kyle worked as a well-respected session player in the 1990's and released his solo debut From Here to There in 1998. Since then, Kyle has released three critically-acclaimed albums (most recently 2009's Metropolitan), toured worldwide, and composed music and soundtracks for several Clint Eastwood films, including Letters from Iwo Jima, Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby. Eastwood received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for Gran Torino.
